Doyle + Partners is a new design delivery model for the domestic extension, alteration & renovation market. Doyle + Partners considers all projects unique, regardless of size or budget, and aims to provide a source of identity for individual or place.
The service offers a ‘pay as you use’ menu of services to the consumer. At all times, the costs are transparent allowing the client the ability to budget from the outset.
Many types of extension projects will not require planning permission if they are built within the category of class 1 exempted development (S.I. No.600 of 2001). Class 1 exempted development (S.I. No.600 of 2001) allows a home-owner to extend their house up to 40 square metres without planning permission so long as the extension is single store off the back of the house.
These are the requirements that all domestic dwellings must meet. When a building project is undertaken without the involvement of a qualified professional who certifies the construction through the various stages, the structure will not be in compliance with the regulations.
Any extension constructed onto a house must comply with the Building Regulations Act. Failure to comply with Building Regulations raises a question on the quality of the build and a problem if you are selling your property. In particular, financial institutions may not approve finance on properties that are non-compliant. However, once your extension complies with Building Regulations and planning, not only is finance approval made possible for the purchaser but the extension will also add value to your home in the event of re-sale. Therefore, it is essential for a home-owner to have a Certificate of Compliance when the house is being valued or sold. A project completed with Doyle and Partners is designed to be compliant with the current Building Regulations and automatically includes the Certificate of Compliance within the project fee.
